Digital operations for tattoo shops

We run the digital side. You stay on the machine.

Website, Google, Yelp, ads, reviews, and follow-up — operated as one system so the right clients find the chair. Flash or custom. Walk-in Friday or a booked sleeve. You keep the logins. We keep the rhythm.

No ranking, booking, or revenue guarantees. Transparent scopes. Monthly reporting. Built for shops — not a law-firm template with the nouns swapped.

The visibility gap

Most shops do not have a marketing problem.

They have a chain of small gaps — a site that still lists an artist who left, a Google profile with last year’s hours, ads pointing at a homepage that cannot book, and reviews that happen only when someone is angry instead of at checkout.

01

Website drift

An artist left. Hours changed. The guest-spot banner is from last fall. Walk-in flash and custom consults dump into the same dead form. Prospects still land on a site that cannot take a deposit.

02

Listings that lie

Google still has Sunday hours. Yelp shows a different phone number. Photos are all fresh-ink glare from 2021. Trust leaks before anyone calls.

03

Instagram as the only door

The grid is the portfolio, the DMs are the front desk, and the algorithm is the landlord. Chair-rent artists promote themselves. You do not own the audience or the booking path.

04

Ads with nowhere to land

Spend hits “tattoo near me,” then a homepage that cannot book, has no artist pages, and no proof of healed work. The click is wasted.

05

Reviews left to chance

Happy clients walk out. Angry ones know where to write. There is no SMS or email ask at checkout — when they are happiest — and no one owning the replies.

06

Ranked for the wrong search

You might show for “tattoo shop near me” and lose the person looking for a traditional Japanese sleeve in San Diego, a fine-line piece, or Friday walk-in flash. Name, style, city — that is the job.

A shop’s digital operating system

Six functions. One monthly plan.

Fewer disconnected vendors. Clearer priorities. Consistent execution. We manage the moving parts so the shop can stay on the floor.

The goal is not more marketing. It is more of the right clients — people who already understand the work, the wait, and the deposit — finding you before they find the shop with a louder listing.

01 · Website

Artist portfolios, healed work, flash vs. custom paths, hours, and a booking flow that can take a deposit on a phone — kept current as the floor changes.

02 · Search

Rank for the searches that matter: shop name, style, and city — a traditional Japanese sleeve in San Diego, fine line near me, Friday walk-in flash — not a generic “tattoo shop.”

03 · Local

Google Business, Maps, Yelp, and supporting listings locked to the same name, hours, and phone as the shop on the street.

04 · Paid search

Google Ads with a written media ceiling, high-intent terms, and landing pages that can actually book. No percentage of spend.

05 · Reputation

Automated, ethical review asks by SMS and email at checkout — when the client is happiest — plus human replies. No purchased stars.

06 · Nurture

Aftercare, rebooking, waitlist, and flash-day texts on a list the shop owns. Instagram is a channel, not the front desk.

How the work runs

Diagnose. Prioritize. Operate. Improve.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

Map the gaps across discovery, trust, conversion, and measurement — website, Maps, ads, reviews, and follow-up as one chain.

  2. 02

    Prioritize

Fix the highest-leverage issues before adding more disconnected tactics. Most shops need a working path, not more channels.

  3. 03

    Operate

Run the connected system month after month: pages, listings, ads, reviews, and reporting against one plan. Not a one-time checklist.

  4. 04

    Improve

Use search data, booking feedback, and competitor movement to sharpen the next month. The work compounds or it is not a system.

Straightforward scope

Three operating levels. No percentage of spend.

Every package separates the monthly fee from client-funded advertising. Media limits are written down. You always own the platforms.

Low-friction first step

An honest look at where attention is leaking.

Send the shop site, how the floor runs, and what is leaking. You get a tailored conversation — not a 40-page audit you will never read.

Before you write

Straight answers for owners who are already busy.

Do you only work with shops that already have a website?

No. If the current site cannot be saved, we will say so and scope a rebuild. If it can, we steward it. Instagram-only shops are common; the first job is usually a site and a truthful Google profile, not a content calendar.

Do you guarantee rankings, bookings, or revenue?

No. Markets, competition, artists, pricing, chair-rent vs. percentage, and intake all move the outcome. We will not sell a #1 ranking, a booking quota, or a revenue promise. We will operate a measured system and report what it is doing.

Do you take a percentage of ad spend?

No. The monthly fee and the media budget are separate. Media is funded by the shop, inside a stated ceiling. No hidden percentage-of-spend language, and no surprise invoices.

Who writes the copy and which photos do you use?

We draft shop-specific pages and features. You approve anything that speaks in the shop’s voice. We prefer healed work and honest studio photography over stock. If the current photos cannot carry the site, we will say so.

How much time does this take from the shop?

A short monthly check-in, access to the platforms we are asked to run, and approval on substantive content. We are built for owners and managers who are already on the floor. We do not need a marketing department on your side.

Can you work with a multi-artist studio?

Yes. Artist pages, individual search demand, and a booking path that does not collapse into one inbox are a normal part of Growth and Studio work. Guest spots and apprentices can be published as real people instead of a story that disappears in 24 hours.

What do you need to start?

Shop name, city, the site or Instagram, how the floor runs (walk-in, custom, or hybrid), and what is leaking. A diagnostic does not require logins. If we work together, we will ask for shared access — you keep ownership of every platform.
